Mount Hotham resort information

For the winter sports fanatic, there are endless possibilities at the ski resort Mount Hotham, given you can ski, snowboard, freeride, go cross-country, climb, hike and toboggan. Located in Victoria, Australia, set amongst the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, this resort is considered by many to be the Australian ski resort of choice for skiers and boarders.

The ski resort has a good variety of terrain for novices, intermediates and experts although it does cater for more confident skiers. In totality there are over 50 kilometres of slopes to choose from set between elevation ranges of 1,450 and 1,845 metres. Beginner skiers can find their feet on 10 kilometres of slopes and will love the Orchid area of the resort with its wide-open slopes and more gradual descents. There are 20 kilometres of intermediate slopes located in the Heavenly Valley are of the resort and 20 kilometres of difficult slopes for the expert skiers will be in their absolute element riding the slopes in the Extreme Zone.

As well as skiing, the resort also provides a wide range of other amenities and activities for people to enjoy; there is tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and snow parks for those who are looking for a little more adventure off the slopes.
