The ski resort Feuerkogel–Ebensee is located at Lake Traunsee, Austria on the Feuerkogel plateau in the Salzkammergut. With elevations between 443 and 1,625 metres, visitors can be transported up to 1600 metres in one of the most traditional cable car lifts in Austria. It’s is also known for being the sunniest spot in Upper Austria.
The resort itself offers a wide range of terrain so that novices and experts can experience slopes for the smoothest of cruises to the steepest of chutes. For novice skiers there are 4 kilometres of slopes, beginners can try the easy slopes at the Feuerkogel pommel lift. 5 kilometres of slopes will challenge the more confident skiers whilst the 1 kilometre of slopes will put the expert skiers to the test on the ‘Steinkogel Vorne’ there is also an additional 6 kilometre long, unprepared ski route down to the base of the resort.
There is an abundance of different activities available at the Feuerkogel–Ebensee ski resort including tobogganing and specially prepared snow shoe routes so that hiking fans can indulge in their passion whilst experiencing the alpine views. For dining and après ski the ‘Berggasthof Edelweiss’ is a cosy mountain restaurant that serves delicious international cuisine. If the après ski is more you’re scene then you can top off a day of skiing in one of the sun terraces or the Seilbahnstüberl located at the base station.
