Located only 80 kilometres from Salzburg and in the heart of Ski Amade, Flachau is the most popular skiing resort in the region. It connects the three villages of Flachau, St. Johann-Alpendorf, and Wagrain. The central location offers athletes the freedom to enjoy the slopes with only one skiing ticket.
Snow Space Salzburg, Flachau is the home to many skiing champions including the most successful skier in history, Hermann Maier. The resort holds the annual Audi FIS Ski World Cup Ladies Night Slalom where some of the best Women’s World Cup racers meet on the Hermann Maier World Cup Run.
Flachau resort takes pride in 270 modern lifts and 760 kilometres of wide slopes which offer perfect skiing grounds for both novice and veteran skiers. The resort offers countless possibilities for an active holiday during summer and a winter full of groomed skiing slopes.
Skiing is not the only fun-filled activity you get to enjoy in Flachau. The Flachauer Mountains offer an epic mountain biking experience. The slope isn’t too steep, making it easy to get to the peak whether you're on foot or bike. There are plenty of traditional huts along the way where you can enjoy Austrian cuisine. The awe-inspiring mountain view matched with hospitable Austrians makes the resort a perfect holiday getaway.
Being centrally located at the heart of Austria, it’s pretty easy to reach Flachau by motorway. If you’re wanting to drive, make sure to use exit 66 of the A10 Tauern motorway from Holland/Germany through Munich to Salzburg. If you're coming from Italy, it is best to drive via Villach and Spittal. You can also book a plane to Salzburg Airport and take a train at Salzburg Land to the resort, or hire an airport transfer.
