Just 60 minutes from Airport Mauterndorf the ski resort Hirnkopf-Flattnitz is located in the beautiful surroundings of Carinthia, Austria. This cosy resort offers 13km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding at high altitudes (elevations between 1,400 and 1,840m).
This is a welcoming family friendly resort situated in the mountains, offering some spectacular views. At the highest peak (Hirnkopf) guests are able to choose between slopes 1, 2 and 3, to ski to the base through the alpines. Of the three slopes there are 7km of ‘easy’ slopes 2km of ‘intermediate’ and 4km of ‘difficult’ runs available. The resort offers snow and avalanche slopes between December and late March, there are 4 operational lifts to take guests around the mountain.
The Hirnkopf resort is a wonderful choice for anyone who is seeking a relaxing, quiet intimate vacation. There are some wonderful eateries as well as bars located in the town of Flattnitz, one recommendation for a little R and R is Tennishittn Vereinslokal. This is where guests are able to relax and enjoy the company of each other, this cabin is a must.
