Gaaler Lifte-Gaal ski resort is located in the Murtal, Styria, Austria. With 6 kilometers of slopes and elevations between 680 and 1,330 meters, this is a perfect resort for families and those who are new to this winter sport.
It may be a rather small resort but it does boast a fantastic 360 metres of vertical descent for those wanting a little more exhilaration. The majority of the slopes are classified as ‘easy’ with 3 kilometres of blue runs which gives visitors the opportunity to really find their feet on the slopes. There are 2 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and 1 kilometre of ‘expert’ black slopes. The scenery is eye-catching, with smooth mountain plateaus and slopes diving into gorgeous valleys.
Night skiing is available of floodlit slopes, perfect for those who find the skiing day too short. As well as skiing residents can try the toboggan run, snowshoe hiking through the mountains and gazing under the stars.
