Set comfortably within the Schladming-Dachstein area of Austria, the Stoderzinken – Gröbming ski resort is a fantastic choice for those who want to get the most out of the winter season. Whether you’re a skier or snowboarder, this resort has more than enough on offer, with 8km of slopes to take advantage of during your stay, as well as 4 ski lifts to get around. The resort is also at elevations between 1,700m and 1,975m.
With the resort being converted from what was once a beautiful alpine landscape, it still retains some of its natural charm, enticing skiers and snowboarders locally and from afar to stay during the winter season. In all, there are 4km of easy blue slopes, 3km of intermediate red slopes and 1km of difficult black slopes. Despite not having too much to challenge the pro-skier, this resort has a lot to offer the beginner-intermediate category, especially those novices who are looking to step it up to the next level during their stay.
After an exhilarating day on the slopes, there are some local bars and restaurants nearby that are sure to satisfy the hungriest of skiers. The Rosemi Alm - Geisler & Kornberger OG has a beautiful alpine bar to try some of the best local beer, and the Hotel Landhaus St. Georg has a wonderful restaurant and even a tea bar and spa for those who want to chill out after a chilly day.
