Hintertux resort information

Hintertux Gacier ski resort is located in Tux-Finkenberg, Tyrol, Austria. Situated in the Zillertaer Alps this beautiful resort is set within a true winter wonderland, with beautiful landscapes and a mountain backdrop this is a superb resort all year round.

This large resort has 60km of slopes available and 13km of ski routes accommodating for all skiing abilities. There are 20 operational modern lifts across the mountain taking guests to the highest peaks of 3476m (Olperer) this is where perfectly groomed slopes and free riding terrain awaits. The Betterpark Hintertux opens from April to May, and September to December it offers freestylers the opportunity to ski on different terrain levels. Elevations are between 1,500 and 3,250m, at 3,000m guests are able to enjoy the high-altitude sun terraces to look over the mountains and take in the panoramic views.

The longest run at the resort is 7km in length, it is the Tuxer Joch – Hintertux, primarily the resort is free of alpines, however, there is a valley run to Hintertux which leads through a forest. This resort is dominated by intermediate skiers, with 35km of slopes dedicated to the novice skier, there are also 14km of easy slopes and 11km of difficult runs available.
