For those wanting an easy, first time skiing experience away from the hustle and bustle and crowded slopes of some of the bigger resorts the Embach – Hörndl is the one for you. Located in Pinzgau, Salzburg in Austria and with 3 kilometres of slopes at an elevation between 1,012 and 1,296 metres, guests can experience fantastic slopes, astonishing views as well as making unforgettable moments.
The easy navigation and easy slopes make for an exceptionally easy ski, and subsequently the resort attracts families and first-time skiers for the most part. There are 2 kilometres of easy slopes and the Hörndllift transports you to the wider, flatter pistes which are best suitable for beginners and children. FOr the more confident skiers there is 1 kilometre of intermediate slopes, if it's more of a challenge you are after then head towards the Rauris area in the south of the resort of the Hochkönig in the north.
Embach – Hörndl has a range of other activities to partake in, for example, slipping and sliding at great speeds down the designated toboggan run or engaging in some friendly competition at the Eisstickbahn curling ground. Although this may be a small resort there is more than enough to keep you entertained on your winter skiing holiday.
