The ski resort Kappl is located in the Tiroler Oberland of Tyrol, Austria. It is a 2 hour and 20-minute transfer Zurich airport and is a favourite ski resort for many with its wide range of slopes and many exciting activities to explore. It also has the reputation of being the sunniest resort of Paznaun.
In totality, the Kappl boasts a fantastic 40 kilometres of slopes and an additional 2 kilometres of marked ski routes for even more skiing variety. With elevations between 1,180 and 2,690 meters, fantastic snow coverages are ensured throughout the winter season. There are slopes of all difficulty levels ranging from steep slopes to beginner runs, the 10 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs are perfect for beginners who are looking to try out their skis for the first time. At the Mountain Erlebnispark, there is a lovely little practice area, with gradual descents and practice lifts. The 25 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and 5 kilometres of ‘expert’ black runs provide some steep and exhilarating slopes for the more advanced skiers to challenge themselves and if it something more demanding you are after then the Bergwiesen slope which is 2 kilometres in length is sure to give you the adrenaline rush you crave.
As well as skiing, the resort also provides a wide range of other amenities and activities for people to enjoy; there is tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and snow parks for those who are looking for a little more adventure off the slopes. Alongside the variety of slopes and extra activities, Kappl also has a fantastic après ski scene, with a multitude of cafes, bars, restaurants and terraces to relax and unwind including the Alpengasthof Dias on the Almstüberl slope which is a popular meeting point for many due to its central location.
