The ski resort Kreischberg is located in the Murta, Styria in Austria and is only a 1 hours 20 minute transfer from Klagenfurt Airport, great for those who want to get on the slopes as soon as possible. The resort offers a range of terrain suitable for beginners right through to experts, so whether you’re a novice skier or a powder professional, you’re sure to find something for you.
For skiing and snowboarding, there is a total of 42 kilometres of slopes available to really get your teeth into all set between elevations of 868 and 2,118 metres. The high elevations and the 110 Snow cannons are a great mix to ensure fantastic coverage throughout the winter season. There are many slopes suitable for the beginner skiers as there are 17 kilometres of easy slopes, however the blue slopes at the Kreischi t-bar lift are an ideal starting point. There are 16 kilometres of intermediate slopes and those who want to progress and the more advanced skiers can access the slopes located at the Sunshine 1 T-bar lift. The expert skiers are also challenged as there are 9 kilometres of black slopes in total, with slope No. 1 being the most demanding slope in the resort.
There are 7 Mountain restaurants & Ski huts for guests to choose from when stomachs start to rumble, the Gasthof Waldschlößl at the Base station of the gondola - 1st section serves homemade specialties and Austrian delicacies as well as offering amazing views.
