The ski resort Gemeindeape-Mitterbach am Erlaufsee is located in the District of Lilienfeld, Austria and is only 20 minutes away from the nearest airport. With 15.5 kilometres of perfectly groomed and prepared slopes it is easy to see why this is a family favourite for many skiers.
In total, there are 15.5 kilometres of expansive runs perfect for skiers and boarders of all abilities. With elevations between 800 and 1,626 metres, residents and visitors can take advantage of everything this resort has to offer. Expert athletes will feel comfortable on the 1.5 kilometres of black runs and the more challenging FID-suitable slopes. On the opposite end of the scale, families and beginners will appreciate the 7 kilometres of red runs and the 7 kilometres of gentle slopes in the flat beginners’ area of the resort which consists of practice lifts and fun figures for children to enjoy. In addition to this there is also a snow park with obstacles such as rails and boxes, perfect for snowboarders to show off their skills.
But it is not only skiing on offer here, there are also a wealth of hiking trails for those who want to experience something a little less exhilarating with some trails being led by qualified instructors. For après-ski, there are fantastic alpine ski huts with sun terraces and beautiful panoramic views situated within the resort, perfect for those wanting to take a little break from the slopes.
