Hochlecken-Neukirchen (Altmünster) ski resort is situated by the beautiful Lake Traunsee, Upper Austria and just 60 minutes travel time from Salzburg Airport. This welcoming resort is suitable for all skiing capabilities with slopes available for beginners, intermediate and expert skiers and snowboarders. There are in total 4km (2km easy, 1km intermediate and 1km difficult) of slopes and 5 operational lifts working around the clock to transport guests to their chosen runs. Elevations here at Hochlecken-Neukirchen are between 870 and 1,150m which is perfect for first children and first time skiers.
This is a family friendly resort which boasts a wonderful ski school for children, the very well trained and experienced staff keep children engaged about the safety on the slopes as well as mastering the skills and techniques required to ski independently. The resort is known for its great natural snow covering, however, in the case that snow is low there are 5 snow cannons covering 60% of the slopes, ensuring that skiing is always possible.
