Hochlitten – Riefensberg ski resort is hidden in the beautiful district of Bregenzerwald, Bregenz, Vorarlberg, Austria. Situated on the Austrian/Germany boarder, this petite resort is primarily used by beginners and intermediate skiers, it offers 1km of easy terrain and 2km of intermediate slopes, perfect for those who are starting out and want to test the slopes before moving onto larger, busier resorts.
There are 4 operational lifts open daily to transport gests around the mountain to their chosen run, elevations here are manageable (between 1,000 and 1,200m) for hiking as well as skiing and snowboarding.
For dining, guests are in for a treat, the Gasthof/Skihütte Hochlitten located at the base between ski lift 2 and 3 offers a variety of delicious bites, the salad bar here is highly recommended.
The nearest airport is ‘Hohenems/Dornbirn Airport’ and it is located just 50 minutes direct transfer from the resort, so travelling with children is manageable without them getting too restless.
