A great variety of slopes and terrain awaits guests visiting the Rifflsee Ski Resort in Pitztal, Tyrol, Austria. With over 18.4 kilometres of slopes to choose from and an additional 12 kilometres of marked ski routes, all set between elevations ranges of 1,640 and 2,800 metres, means there is something for every type of skier to enjoy.
Guests will be spoilt for choice given the selection of slopes available, but there are more easy slopes to choose from given there are 9.5 kilometres available. Beginners can find their feet around the Rifflsee lift, with two easy practice slopes as well as the slopes at the Mandarfen pommel lift which are also fairly easy and provide smooth descents. However, there are also 4.5 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 4.4 kilometres of difficult slopes available for more advanced skiers and snowboarders to challenge themselves, especially on the Grubenkopf, where there is quite a lot of steep and demanding terrain. In addition to all this there is a further 12 kilometres of marked ski routes which lead through SunnaAlm down to the Rifflsee lift base station. Night skiing also takes place at this resort at the Mandarfen ski lift near the children's area on 1 kilometre of floodlit slopes which remain open until 22:00.
There are 4 mountain restaurants and ski huts for guests to choose from when stomachs start to rumble, with Pitztaler Skihütte located on the lower part of the Rifflsee valley run one of the best, with its cosy alpine feel, great food and amazing views.
