The Ski Resort Kellerjoch – Schwaz is located in the Silberregion Karwendel area of Tyrol, Austria and is one of Tyrol’s best kept skiing secrets. With its homely and friendly atmosphere and range of slopes, and no waiting times to access your favourite slopes, it is more than clear to see why.
The resort consists of 10 kilometres of slopes and an additional 1 kilometres of marked ski routes, all set with between elevation ranges of 857 and 1,887 meters. This snowy paradise is more suited for beginner skiers with 5.5 kilometres of blue runs where you are able to experience smooth gliding from the peak down to Grafenast. There are 2.4 kilometres of red runs, however expert skiers will thrive at the resort too and can thrill seek on the 2.1 kilometres of expert black slopes including the most challenging run, the Waizer run which is 2.1 kilometres long and the only black run at the resort.
Other winter sports include, tobogganing, ice riding, snow shoe hiking, as well as being able to explore the breath-taking sights. Kellerjoch – Schwaz has a great deal to offer as a resort, with access to a variety of things to see and do in the area and the ability to reach restaurants, bars and shops very easily. Berghaus Hecher is a very cosy little restaurant located at the mountain station which serves snacks as well as a range of other dishes for the whole family.
