One of the largest interconnected ski resorts in Austria, Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental has a huge array of slopes and activities for visitors and residents to get involved in. With over 284km of slopes and 90 ski lifts to ferry skiers and snowboarders around, there is a lot to fit in on your next trip to this well-equipped destination.
There are a great deal of different slopes and courses on offer for those wanting to sample as many ski runs as possible, with an elevation between 620 and 1,957 metres. The accessible courses are predominantly classified as easy and intermediate, meaning that this is a great resort for beginners stepping onto the snow for the first time. With that said, there are also plenty of off-piste opportunities for advanced skiers, including an area called Hohe Salve.
Alongside the variety of slopes on offer, visitors and residents also benefit from access to funparks for littles ones, adventure slopes, paragliding, toboggan runs and night skiing. For a more relaxing time, there is an AlpenIglu Village along with 77 family-run huts with table service, restaurants, cafés and bars.
The two resorts collectively boast easy access to 9 villages in all, meaning that local amenities are in abundance for residents and visitors. They include Brixen Im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Itter, Kelchsau, Scheffau, Söll and Westendorf.
