For fans of Austrian skiing, the Schwabenbergarena – Turnau ski resort is a great location for skiers and snowboarders to indulge themselves. Situated in the Hochsteiermark region, there are 10km of slopes to explore with 3 ski lifts to get around easily. The elevation lies between 780m and 1,150m, giving guests a good range of surfaces to try out.
Slopes are classified by skiing ability, with 1km dedicated to easy slopes, 6km for intermediate and 3km for difficult. Actually, this makes it perfect for those with limited experience on the slopes but would like a resort that is fairly easy to navigate, including a few extra challenges for the daring few who want to hone their techniques on the snow. In addition, there is also artificial snow making facilities on 100% of the slopes, in case the snow fall isn’t as expected.
There are plenty of options for dining or drinks after a long day on the slopes, including a pub/restaurant in the valley station at Turnau.
