Forsteralm-waidhofen an der Ybbs is located in the district of SteyrLand, Oberösterreich, Austria. This wonderfully petit, family friendly ski resort is one of the snowiest resorts in the Pre-Alps with guaranteed snow coverage and is only a 44-minute transfer away from the nearest airport.
With elevations between 720 metres and 1,078 metres, the resort consists of 16 kilometres of wonderfully groomed slopes catering to all levels of skill and ability and ensures excellent skiing pleasure for the whole family. There is 2 kilometres of expert black runs with downhill slopes for experienced skiers and snowboarders. There are 4 kilometres of intermediate runs ideal for confident skiers to challenge themselves. That’s not to say there isn’t anything for children or beginners as there are 10 kilometres of easy slopes including children's lifts and a ski school where practicing turns as well as other skills is encouraged by a team of expert instructors.
For après ski a break in the Austall is a must with its cosy atmosphere, spectacular views and homemade mulled wine, it’s the perfect way to warm up after a day on the slopes. The Forsteralm-waidhofen an der Ybbs is a perfect day’s skiing for the whole family.
