The massive connected ski resort known as Zillertal Arena, encompasses Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten and Hochkrimml, which collectively equate to 143km of skiable slopes. To get around the vast skiing area, there are a network of 52 ski lifts for guests to use, which can take them to elevations of between 580m and 2,500m.
Given the sheer amount of varied terrain at this large resort, guests will undoubtedly feel overwhelmed with the choice of where to begin. Thankfully there are slopes for every ability at the resort, meaning that whether you’re a complete novice, or hardened skiing pro, you will find a great slope for you. In total, there are 43km of easy blue slopes, 89km of intermediate red slopes and 11km of difficult black slopes. Guests are advised to try the Kreuzwiesn run (No. 16 and 17), the Sport run No. 18, he Gerlosplatte No. 10, the Königsleiten No. 42 and the Gerlos No. 31, if they get the chance.
If that’s not all, there is always the Arena Roller Coaster to have fun on with friends and family, or even the 45km of toboggan runs, spread over 14 courses. In addition, guests can participate in cross-country skiing, snowshoe hikes, ice climbing, snow tubing, paragliding and curling.
