A superb smaller ski resort found in the Ore Mountains, Saxony, Germany, the Eibenstock is the perfect destination for families and novice skiers or snowboarders to get to grips with the snow. Between elevations of 650 and 745 metres, and with 1 kilometre of slopes in total, visitors and residents can expect gentle descents and easy surfaces to practice on.
The resort itself consists of 0.4 kilometres of easy slopes and 0.6 kilometres of intermediate slopes, which are ideal practicing slopes for those who are hitting the snow for the first time. There are 2 ski lifts to help guests navigate to the best area for skiing, and the slopes also have 8 artificial snow making capabilities in case the snowfall hasn’t been up to scratch during the night. Speaking of night time, residents can also practice their skills right through till 21:00 as 0.8 kilometres of the slopes are floodlit for night skiing.
