Set within the Hochschwarzwald region of Germany, the Thoma – Hinterzarten ski resort has a lot on offer for the discerning skier and snowboarder. There are 4km of slopes available, alongside 3 ski lifts that guests can use to get around the resort. The elevations here are between 960m and 1,200m.
There are 2.5km of easy blue slopes and 1.5km of intermediate red slopes on offer here, allowing skiers and snowboarders of varying abilities the chance to take to the slopes. Given the difficulty of slopes available, it means that this is an ideal resort for families with young children who want to sample the snow for the first time, and those with limited experience who are looking for the next step up in ability. There is a valley run available from Öfelerjoch to Aschau, which is 1.4km in length. Lastly, there is night skiing on offer on special illuminated slopes, especially for those who prefer to ski well into the evening during their stay.
