The Steibis – Imberg (Oberstaufen) ski resort is a testament to Bavarian skiing and snowboarding, with 17.6km of slopes available. Located in the Nature Park Nagelfluhkette area of Bavaria, Germany, this is a wonderful ski resort with plenty to offer locals and tourists, including 12 ski lifts to assist with navigating the resort. The elevations here are between 859m and 1,338m.
Slopes here are very evenly balanced, catering to everyone from complete beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders seeking their next adrenaline rush. They include 6km of easy blue runs, 5km of intermediate red runs and 6.6km of difficult black runs to contend with. All in all, this allows for visitors and residents to move up in difficulty quite easily, catering for different abilities as well as different learning speeds. There is a valley run as an added bonus, a snow park for children to tire themselves out and a massive 75 snow cannons that deliver fresh artificial snow onto 95% of slopes every day during the winter season.
Those craving a bite to eat after a long day on the slopes can try Imbergbahn Steibis as well as Das Imberghaus for some delicious local cuisine and refreshing German beer.
