Mauren is a cosy, intimate little village in the county of Freising, Barvaria, Germany. It is 5-minute drive away from the town centre where the Hanslmühle ski slopes are located. This is a petite resort which has been providing winter sports since 1965, with just 1km of slopes available, 0.7km of the slopes are ‘easy’ runs, perfect for beginners and children who need to learn the required techniques and skills. For those who have mastered skiing, there is a 0.3km ‘intermediate’ run which provides enjoyment for those with a little more experience, and going through the alpines (the cat track) adds to the excitement. Elevations are at a low attitude between 420 and 460 metres. There is just 1 lift here to transport guests. One of the highlights at this run is the night skiing, it is open 7 days a week (weather permitted) until 2200hrs. The wide slope offers endless hours of fun to everyone young and old.
Once the day has finished at the slope, why not take the 5-minute journey to ‘Zum aten Wirt’ this is a traditional Bavarian restaurant with a delicious menu. Located in a cosy B&B offering clean and comfortable rooms it is a perfect way to spend a mini break.
