Situated in the Westallgau area of Bavaria, Germany is the Iberg – Riedholz (Maierhöfen) ski resort. It is a beautiful resort that provides skiers and snowboarders with 2.5 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes of varying terrain and elevations between 740 and 960 metres.
There really is something for every age and ability at this beautifully petite resort. Beginners can choose from 0.7 kilometres of wide, more gradual slopes practising their skills on slopes 4 and 5 located at the left-hand side of the Mountain. For younger children and beginners there is a ski school with outstanding instructors and facilities to guide children in their initial stages of skiing. For those who want something a little more challenging then there is 1.6 kilometres of intermediate slopes and for skiers and boarders who are looking for an extreme adrenaline rush, there are 0.2 kilometres of expert slopes waiting to be explored. The longest run is slope 1 whilst slope 2 is one of the steepest slopes with the trickiest terrain.
If you’re looking for something a little different then why not try your hand at snowshoeing or cross-country skiing across the wonderful cross-country ski trail of Maierhöfen or hiking.
For dining and après ski the cosy Iberg-Stüble which is located directly at the lift has a wonderful sun terrace so guests can enjoy relaxing after a long day on the slopes with a bretzeit, mulled wine, coffee and even cake. This petite little ski resort really is an ideal destination for families and beginner skiers and snowboarders.
