One of the most beautiful family ski resorts in Berchtesgadener Land, Bavaria, Germany, has to be the Rossfeld – Berchtesgaden-Oberau ski resort. Even though it is only a small resort with 8 kilometres of slopes, a further 1 kilometres of additional marked ski routes and elevations between 1,300 and 1,554 metres, this resort provides something for everyone, from children, to beginners and the more intermediate skiers.
There is 7 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes made up of wide groomed, mellow runs, as well as a designated children's area with smooth runs, an activity area as well as a children's ski school. If you’re after a little more demanding then there is 1 kilometre of intermediate slopes and the Valley Run into Oberau is particularly interesting. The additional 1 kilometre of marked routes provide that little bit more of a challenge which ensure some fun skiing. On top of all this there is night skiing available at the resort on 1 kilometre of floodlit slopes which offer skiing fun even into the evening hours.
But all the fun isn’t contained to the slopes, there are some beautiful sunny round trips for hikers and cross-country skiers, as well as a short natural toboggan run, great fun for all the family. The Rossfeld – Berchtesgaden-Oberau ski resort, with its Sunny terraces, wonderful panorama and cosy restaurants make this an ideal skiing destination.
