Located in the fascinating German Ore Mountains, Schöneck (Skiwelt) ski resort has over 3.5km of slopes for skiers and snowboarders to get to grips with during their stay. With 5 ski lifts to get around, and an elevation of between 620m and 760m, visitors and residents can make the most of skiing for pleasure, taking their time and beating the crowds found in busier resorts.
There are 1.5km of easy slopes, 1.4km of intermediate slopes and 0.6km of difficult slopes to be found at the resort. This ensures a great experience can be had by beginners and advanced skiers alike, although the resort does favour first-timers who are keen on trying out easier slopes on holiday. Equipped with 16 snow cannons, the resort makes the most of artificial snow across every single slope. Lastly, there is a valley run available, night-skiing on offer and a snowpark for freestylers to make good use of while on their skiing or snowboarding holiday.
Given that visitors and residents will have had a full day skiing or snowboarding, the resort has plenty of mountain huts and restaurants to provide sustenance and a place to relax during the evening.
