Menzenschwand (St. Blasien) – Spießhorn Ski Resort is located in the Hochschwarzwald (High Black Forest) of Germany and is a favourite destination for a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, with so many exciting and thrill-seeking activities to explore. The initial attraction here is the resort's small but very welcoming, homely feel.
At an elevation between 850 and 1,220 metres, the resort has diverse and interesting pistes, including forests and high alpine terrain. Skiers can take delight in a variety of slopes ranging from easy to intermediate slopes, which are perfect for any residents who are looking to gain confidence and improve their skills in this growing, popular winter sport. There are 3.9 kilometres of slopes to explore and consist of 2.1 kilometres of easy slopes, the Rehbach run is a popular starting area for novices and children. 1.8 kilometres of slopes will challenge the more intermediate skiers and even has a FIS slope, the Schwinbach slope which is 0.7 kilometres in length. There are also 3 t-bar ski lifts to transport residents around the resort and a free ski bus takes you to the ski area in a short trip.
