Situated in the Ammergauer Alpen Holiday Region of Germany, the Steckenberg – Unterammergau ski resort is perfect for skiing and snowboarding during the winter season. There are 8km of slopes available here, as well as 7 ski lifts for guests to traverse the resort during their stay. Elevations range between 840m and 1,050m.
In total, there are 1.5km of easy blue slopes, 5km of intermediate red slopes and 1.5km of difficult black slopes. This is ideal for beginners to the slopes, as well as those who want to take it to the next level, improving their technique with the slightly more challenging intermediate slopes. The longest run here is the Hab run No. 4 at a length of 1km and an elevation difference of 210m. On the other hand, the most difficult run is the Scharten II run which has an elevation difference of 150m.
Lastly, there is a valley run available, artificial snow-making facilities in case the snowfall isn’t up to scratch, and night skiing on offer for those guests who just need that extra few hours on the slopes.
