This private run ski slope is the perfect choice for children to learn the basic skills and techniques independently. Halde-Westerheim in Alb-Donau-Kreis (Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) is a cosy petite resort which offers 2 ‘easy’ slopes. Each slope is measured at 1km. There are 2 operational lifts per run, and low elevations of 780 and 820m.
This is a wonderful choice for families especially with young children. The resort offers a sun terrace to relax on, and extremely wide slopes so there is plenty of room for playing, skiing and practising on. For experienced skiers looking for something a little more there is a cross-country trail that is well maintained and accessible.
Amenities and resources here are very limited, this run offers a ski space primarily for children to learn on. Locally (10-minute car journey) hidden away is a little surprise. The Schertelshöhle Restaurant is worthy of a visit, it is a great place for children and offers some delicious food. It is welcoming to all the family even pets!
