Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort can be found in the holiday area of Gitschberg-Jochtal, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. It is a superb and large resort boasting a fantastic 51.7 kilometres of slopes which are suitable for novice skiers all the way up to the more ambitious and powder professionals. With elevation ranges between 1,354 and 2,510 metres and 90 snow cannons, snow is guaranteed throughout the winter sports season.
With 17.3 kilometres of ‘easy’ slopes, 25.1 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ slopes and 9.3 kilometres of ‘expert slopes, the more confident skiers can take advantage of the wide-open bowls and long top-to-bottom runs including the most difficult - the Mitterling which is 1 kilometre long and the extremely steep and challenging Jochtal, whilst the tree-lined groomed runs are ideal for beginners.
No visit to this resort is complete without a trip to ‘Gitsch’ the highest point of the resort. Standing at 2,510 metres, guests can experience the breath-taking, panoramic views of the surrounding Dolomites scenery and are also able to jump onto the challenging, intermediate red run number 20. At the end of a long day on the slopes, why not opt for a high-altitude dining experience at the Jochtal, which offers wonderful views and delicious food at an impressive 2,008 metres elevation.
