The ski resort Kronplatz (Plan de Corones) is located at the Plan de Corones, in South Tyrol, Italy and is one of 3 interlinked ski resorts. Kronplatz however is considered to be Europe's best-kept ski secret. Only 1-hour transfer away from Bolzano Airport, this fantastic resort really does offer everything you could ever wish for from a winter skiing holiday.
For skiing and snowboarding, there is a whopping 119 kilometres of slopes available to spend your time on which range from beginner slopes all the way up to the more demanding terrain for experienced skiers, all set between elevations of 973 and 2,275 metres. There are 52 kilometres of easy slopes and beginners are best to use the Miara Mountain side of the resort which consists of smooth descents. There are 42 kilometres of intermediate slopes for those who are a little more confident and want a slight challenge, you will find this on the steeper slopes down into the valley. There are also 25 kilometres of expert slopes, where skiers will test their endurance on the most challenging slopes, “The Black 5” which consist of 5 exhilarating runs, Sylvester, Herrnegg, Pre da Peres, Etra and Piculin. If all this isn’t enough there are 4 different floodlight slopes to choose from for guests to ski under the moonlight.
For dining and après ski there is an abundance of bars and restaurants to spend your time, from stopping for a quick bite between slopes or taking time to refuel your batteries. If you are looking for something more lively, then there are rustic and trendy bars with beautiful sun terraces so guests can admire the outstanding views in complete relaxation.
