The ski resort Corno alle Scale–Lizzano in Belvedere is located in the Province of Bologna, Italy. Only 80 kilometres away from Florence this resort is a paradise for lovers of all winter sports. It is where many Bologna citizens learned to ski, including Alberto Tomba who started his skiing career as a child in the 1970’s.
With elevation ranges between 1,418 and 1,945 meters and containing 14 kilometres of slopes and an impressive 527 meters (1729 feet) of vertical descent the resort guarantees variety for all abilities. The 5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes are particularly suitable for beginners and young children who are looking to take it easy. The ‘Pista Blu’ is usually the first slope for beginners to descend. The ‘Pista Cupolino’ and the ‘Tomba 1 or 2’ are ideal for those who are a little more advanced as there are 7 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes. If it is something a little more exhilarating you're after then ‘Pista Direttissima’ is the slope for you and is dedicated to more experienced skiers, it ensures the more ambitious and professionals can have endless fun on the pistes. For all Freestylers there is a snow park available, which is equipped with boxes, rails and kickers and for the younger guests, there is the baby park which has activities and a child playground.
For après ski there are several bars and restaurants for visitors and guests to relax in after a long day on the slopes. ‘Le Malghe’ is a lovely restaurant that specializes in barbecue food, alternatively there is ‘The Rocks’ which is a restaurant bar where diners can eat or have a drink on the terrace under the stars.
