The ski resort Macugnaga is located in the Valle Anzasca Piedmont Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Italy. It is only a 1 hour 30-minute transfer from Milan Airport and offers some of the most beautiful slopes in Macugnaga. Given the fact that it is a smaller resort, it doesn't fail to provide a range of slopes and alternative activities to make your winter skiing holiday a memorable one, it is also a little quieter than some of the larger resorts.
Macugnaga has 29.5 kilometres of perfectly prepared pistes, set between elevation ranges of 1,327 and 3,000 metres. Consisting of 5.1 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, 21.8 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red and 2.6 kilometres of ‘expert’ black, perfect for skiers and snowboarders wanting to experience varying levels of difficulty. Skiers can practice on the smoother slopes including the Fontanone and when you’re ready to take the next step, progress onto the slopes such as Rifugio and Ruppenstein or really test our skills against the very technical and difficult tracks of the Roccette. In the Valley Station there is a children’s playground, perfect for younger children who are looking to take a short break from the slopes, there is even a ski school which has fantastic resources and instructors to help build up skills and confidence in both children and adults.
