The Snowbird ski resort in Salt Lake City, Utah attracts a varied crowd of locals and travelling winter sports fans. With a massive 103km of slopes on offer and 11 ski lifts to ferry guests around, there is plenty for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy during their stay. The resort is also at an elevation of between 2,365m and 3,353m, the high altitudes ensuring a great snowfall all winter long.
There is a fairly even spread of slopes at Snowbird, including 27km of blue slopes, 38km of red slopes and 38km of black slopes to entertain avid skiers. Whilst beginners and young children can find their feet, professionals can swoop down sharp descents and take on the most challenging slopes. The longest run is 5.6km with an elevation difference of 988m. In addition, there’s a valley run a snow park, halfpipe for freestyler skiers and night skiing for those who just can’t fit all the fun into one day.
