Located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Arapahoe Basin is an outstanding alpine ski resort, surrounded by breath-taking natural scenery and perfect for skiers of all abilities. Covering 105 kilometres of slopes and offering some of the highest skiable terrain in North America, it’s ideal for experts, beginners and families.
The variety of slopes make sure that skiers and boarders can experience a range of terrain from the smoothest of cruises to the steepest of chutes. With elevations ranging between 3,286 and 3,790 meters, there really is something to suit all abilities. The resort has 40 kilometres of black runs, one of its signature runs ‘Pallavicini’ is one of Colorado's longest and steepest trails. The 25 kilometres of intermediate runs are able to challenge the more advanced skiers whilst the 40 kilometres of less intimidating groomed blue runs are ideal for perfecting skills.
But it is not just skiing this resort is perfect for, as there is so much more on offer including toboggan runs, winter hikes and off piste trails to explore. The ‘Sixth Alley bar’ is fantastic for a bit of après and there is also an eatery further up the mountain. Located right at the top of Arapahoe Basin, is ‘Snow Plume Refuge’ an attractive warming hut with magnificent panoramic views of the Continental Divide. This resort really does have something for everyone who loves winter.
