Ski resorts in the USA are often bigger than most, and Stowe in Vermont is no exception. The large resort has 70km of slopes for skiers and snowboarders to take advantage of, as well as 11 ski lifts to allow guests to navigate the resort easily and comfortably. At elevations of between 390m and 1,116m, there is plenty of terrain for all levels of skiing ability to try.
Situated on Vermont’s highest peak, Mt. Mansfield, the slopes here are diverse enough to encourage beginners and pro-skiers to take to the snow. There are 20km of easy blue slopes, 42km of intermediate red slopes and 8km of difficult black slopes. There are a number of different areas encompassing the slopes, with Toll house and Spruce Peak great for beginners, as well as Lower Spruce and Upper Spruce for those who want a challenge. The slopes include Perry Merill, Sterling, Cliff Trail, Sunrise and Hayride, along with the longest slope at 6km, Toll Road. For the most advanced, the double-black diamond course called ‘Front Four’ will provide all the adrenaline you need.
With this resort being in America, there is no shortage of great bars and restaurants. Highlights include the panoramic views from the Cliff House Restaurant, The Canteen, Skinny Pancake and the Great Room Grill, as well as the Spruce Bar and The Den for the best après-ski in the resort.
