The ski resort Cerro Bayo is located in the Neuquén Province of Argentina and overlooks the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Even though it is only a small resort with 12 kilometres of slopes for skiing and snowboarding and elevations between 1,050 and 1,730, it provides something for everyone, from beginners to professionals.
There are 5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes made up of wide groomed, mellow runs, including the ‘Paso de la Vaca’ which is ideal for beginners and younger children. If you’re after a little more of a challenge then the ‘De la Hoya Roja and the 4 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes are for you. For more extreme terrain and steeper descents there are 3 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes including the exhilarating ‘Canaleta’ slope. In addition to this there is also an extra 2.5 kilometres of off-piste areas that ensure some fun tree skiing.
As well as skiing the resort hosts a range of different yet unusual activities for example, snow tubing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, snow-polo with horses and even extreme rugby. Visitors can also enjoy the resorts cafés and restaurants whilst winding down after a long day's skiing. Tronador is a fantastic restaurant with a large outdoor patio, perfect for a drink with spectacular views the resort has to offer. Whether you are young or old, a novice or an experienced enthusiast, Cerro Bayo Resort has something to make your winter holiday one to remember.
