Chapelco resort information

The Chapelco Ski Resort is located in the Neuquen Province, near San Martín de los Andes, Argentina. With its spectacular back drop, great facilities and an abundance of amenities, it is the perfect destination for a ski holiday for all the family.

For skiers and snowboarders there is 45 kilometres of slopes, and elevation ranges between 1,230 and 1,970 metres. Each slope has different degrees of steepness and difficulty and range from gentle slopes for those who prefer to take it easy and enjoy the scenery, to extreme terrains for thrill seekers. There are 15 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes for beginner skiers and for younger children there are mellow slopes serviced by magic carpets. If you are looking for a bit more of a challenge then the 25 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes are for you, including the ‘Basaltos’ and ‘Del Filo’ slopes. However, if you are an adrenaline junkie and want something more exhilarating then there are 5 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes which ensure even the most ambitious skiers get their fix. In addition to this there is also a further 5 kilometres of cross country ski slopes and the resort also caters for freestylers with the small terrain park.

Other activities include snowshoeing on the prepared trails, snowmobiling and dog sledding. For après ski ‘The Antulauquen’ Restaurant located 1,600 metres high serves mouth-watering food which can either be enjoyed whilst warming up inside by the fire or outside on the terrace whilst sitting under the stars.
