Faschina is a perfectly petite ski resort which can be found in the Great Walser Valley of Austria (Vorarlberg, Bludenz, Alpenregion Bludenz), located just 60 minutes from the nearest airport.
This delightful resort offers 8 kilometres of slopes and there are runs here to suit all skiing abilities. ‘Easy’ green runs have 5 kilometres of slopes, ‘intermediate’ blue runs have 1 kilometre and for experienced skiers there is 2 kilometres of ‘difficult’ black runs to explore. The ski school is the best way for beginners to learn the techniques required to stay safe on the alps. If the slopes aren’t enough then the valley run is sure to tire you out and just in case there aren’t enough hours in the day then night skiing is a must. Skiing under the moon and stars when the sun dips and the lights come on, there is something wonderful about night skiing. For the children there is a snow park to enjoy and if exploring by foot is more your thing then the foot trails are sure to excite you, and with the magnificent views at every glance, you can really enjoy and appreciate your surroundings. There are 4 operational lifts to transport guests up the mountain which has elevations between 1,450 metres and 1,980 metres.
With the numerous accommodation options here the airport run is frequent, there is also a wonderful variety of restaurants, many within the hotels, as well as bars. This is a great choice of skiing resort with everything you need on your door step, certainly a wonderful choice for beginners.
