Hochkar ski resort, a beautiful quaint village offering everything you and your family need for a wonderful get away. Located in the District of Scheibbs, Lower Austria, it is a perfectly relaxing choice of ski resort. Being only 150km from Vienna, this resort is known for its snow reliability and also the largest resort I the Alpine foothills.
In total, over 3 mountain fronts there are 4 peaks Leckerplan at 1,782m, Hasing at 1,728m Hochkar at 1,808 m and finally Vorgipfel at 1,770m, this is the most remarkable peak of the resort with dining available at high altitudes there is no place more perfect to spend an hour or two in the afternoon overlooking the magnificent landscape that lays ahead. Elevations at Hochkar are between 1,380 and 1,808m to reach the elevations there are 8 operational lifts transporting guests from one point to another.
The slopes, (5.5km of easy, 10km of intermediate and 3.5km of difficult terrain) are visibly prepared to ensure perfect conditions for skiers and snowboarders. There are 9 restaurants on the Alps to choose from, each is family friendly, warm and welcoming serving up traditional dishes as well as a western menu.
