The Großarltal/Dorfgastein ski resort can be found in Gastein, Pongau, Salzburg in Austria with a backdrop of beautiful mountain scenery and the National Park Hohe Tauern lure. With its vast amount of perfectly groomed slopes and a wide range of varying terrain it is clear to see why it is a popular choice for many when it comes to a winter skiing holiday.
In total there are 70.1 kilometres of expansive runs perfect for skiers and boarders of all abilities. With elevations between 850 and 2,033 meters, residents and visitors can take advantage of everything this resort has to offer. The resort offers slopes of all difficulty levels. There are 25.5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, 43.1 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and 1.5 kilometres of ‘difficult’ black slopes, the most difficult run being the Laerchenhang it is 1 kilometre in length, it's perfect for those who want extreme adrenaline and steep descents. In addition to this there is also 9.8 kilometres of marked ski routes. Other fantastic attractions of this resort include the seed measurement course on the Grossarl Familien run, SkiMovie to create videos of yourself having fun on the slopes, and the fun slope which is an amazing children’s adventure area.
When it's time to take a break from the slopes there are comfortable idyllic nature areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors right next to the slopes. the resort's vast amount of friendly ski huts and sun terraces give you time to take a break for refreshments, a bite to eat or indulge in après-ski.
