The Ski Resort Grossglockner Heiligenblut is located in the Mölltal, Upper Carinthia, Spittal an der Drau, Austria and is a 2 hour transfer away from Klagenfurt Airport. Offering a wide range of difficulty for skiers and snowboarders, visitors and residents are able to experience elevations between 1,301 and 2,989 meters on over 55 kilometres of diverse slopes, there is also an additional 10.4 kilometres of prepared and marked ski routes.
Throughout the resort, there is certainly an emphasis on easy and intermediate slopes, which are perfect for those who are trying out skiing for the first time. Families and children can also enjoy the Snowland where children can have bundles of fun whist learning to ski and snowboard. For those wanting a little more of an adrenaline rush, the famous and most difficult run is the Fallbichl slope which is 0.5 kilometres in length and is a very steep slope with tricky terrain. Providing 20 kilometres of easy slopes, 34 kilometres of intermediate runs and 1 kilometre of expert runs, Grossglockner Heiligenblut caters for every skiing ability. A popular feature of this resort is the freeride area, this large open ski terrain has unlimited variations and slopes.
The Grossglockner Heiligenblut also offers so much fun off the slopes with opportunities to ski on the groomed cross-country trails, speed down the toboggan runs, go ice skating, snowshoe and winter hiking as well as taking ski tours led by trained staff. After a long day skiing, guests can relax in a lounger on the terrace at Almrausch Hütte - a perfect place for a break from the slopes.
