Hohentauern is a beautiful petite ski resort, located in the Murtal, Styria, Austria. The resort offers a relaxing break, with beauty at every opportunity and magnificent panoramic views.
This wonderful resort offers guests 9.5km of varied slopes, however, they are predominantly prepared for intermediate skiers, there are 3km of easy runs, 6km of intermediate slopes and 0.5km of difficult terrain to enjoy and if that isn’t enough maybe the 5km of ski routes will suffice. For extra skiing and snowboarding activities why not try the valley run which provides excitement and adrenaline. To get around the resort there are 5 T-Bar lifts in operation daily to transport guests to elevations between 1,230 and 1,700m.
Snow reliability here is usually good, however, there are 12 artificial snow cannons to top up 40% of the slopes. One highlight here is that the resort isn’t overcrowded, it allows for guests to have space to twist and turn without taking out anyone else’s skis.
