Located in the District of Spittal an der Drau, Upper Carinthia of Austria, is the Ski Resort Ankogel Mallnitz. Only a short shuttle ride from Salzburg Airport, this beautiful resort is one of the most snow reliable mountains in the region and has been awarded the Kaerntner Pistenguetesiegel (Carinthia Slope Quality Award).
Elevated between 1,200 meters and 2,637 meters, the Ankogel Mallnitz is among the 3 highest elevated Ski Resorts in Carinthia. The vertical drop from summit to base is 1,437 meters and therefore, most runs are relatively long. Skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of up to 12.8 kilometres of slopes.
There are 1.8 kilometres of blue slopes and 9.3 kilometres of red slopes, mostly suitable for intermediate skiers. The Köfele Lifte, right at the base, is ideal for beginners and children. However the ski area also offers 1.7 kilometres of black slopes for those who fancy something a little more challenging.
Right in the centre of the skiing area, residents and visitors will find Kofelealm, a modern restaurant which serves mouth-watering dishes and international cuisine delights. After eating, skiers and snowboarders can walk out of the restaurant and straight onto the slopes, with runs situated right outside. There is also a fantastic ski school located on site where children and adults of all abilities can practice their skills.
Ankogel Mallnitz first-class grooming, it’s very attractive ski terrain and snow reliability make this resort a fantastic skiing holiday for all the family.
