The Mönichkirchen/Mariensee ski resort is located in the District of Neunkirchen, Wiener Alpen, Lower Austria and is set off the beaten track so it’s very quiet although it is very up and coming with its lift transportations and technology as there is a brand-new photo point at the top of the Panorambahn Ski Lift where you can take pictures and videos to document an amazing time on the slopes.
The resort has over 28.5 kilometres of slopes with elevations between 1,550 and 2,400 meters for skiers and snowboarders alike to get their fill of adventure. It encompasses 13.5 kilometres of slopes with varying difficulty with some breath-taking landscapes and terrain to explore. These slopes are enough to challenge any skier or snowboarder and consist of 5.5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes which are suitable for even the most novice of skiers. There are 6 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs for the more confident skiers and 2 kilometres of ‘expert black runs, there really is something for everyone from the smoothest of cruises to the steepest of chutes. Transportation wise there are 6 ski lifts including chairlifts and T-bars and rope tows, which takes skiers to the summit and enables residents to be at one with the marvellous wooded areas and panoramic views.
