This modern resort is dominated by easy terrain with 61km designated to beginners, there are 35km of intermediate slopes for novice skiers to explore and 4km of difficult runs for experienced skiers to challenge. The longest run available is the Zehnerkar run, which is 5km in length, the most difficult run is Gamsleiten, suggested routes include Red Tauernrunde clockwise, and Green Tauernrunde anti-clockwise.
Obertauern is a wonderful resort with modern lifts, snow reliability here is guaranteed, the large variety of slopes offer everything from simple idyllic slopes to more challenging advanced terrain, this is the perfect place for families to explore winter sports together, for people to grow and naturally move onto more difficult terrain. There is an alternative free ride zone, snow park and speed measurement courses and so much more available.
