Situated in the beautiful Hocalter Mountain in the Imst District, Tyrol, Austria, Hochoetz-Oetz ski resort can be found. This wonderful ski resort offers 36km of varied slopes and 3km of alternative ski routes to suit all skiing and snowboarding abilities.
This well maintained resort is favoured for its snow reliability, not only from the natural snow but also 100% of the slopes have artificial snow making cannons. There are 12 lifts working around the clock to distribute guests to their chosen runs and up to the highest elevation of 2,272m, here some of the most magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes and mountain tops can be seen.
This family friendly resort caters for everyone’s needs, from a ski school for the beginners, a child friendly obstacle course (teaching children the skills and techniques needed to ski independently) difficult runs for the experts and everything in between. The Forest Glade is one of the favoured intermediate runs offering a beautiful route as it leads straight down to Ochsengarten and to the Acherkogel lift (sections II). If it is more even and open terrain you are seeking then the Balbachtal offers wide treeless slopes. The majority of the easy slopes can be found surrounding the Hochoetz mountain station and Babach chairlift.
For those wanting to tire themselves out then the longest run from Brunnemkopf-Ochsengarten (runs 2 and 9) are 5km in length, for those looking for more of an adrenaline rush, the Mohrenkopf (run 8) is not to be missed.
