Galstenberg-Pruggern ski resort is located in Schladming-Dachstein, Styria, Austria. This cosy resort offers 12 kilometres of slopes and an additional 2 kilometres of ski routes with elevations are between 1,000 and 1,976 metres. Taking a trip to the highest point of the Kalteck, which stands at 1,976 metres, is an absolute must for visitors as it is a wonderful viewing point for guests to be able to sit back and take in some of the most magnificent views.
For skiing and snowboarding the resort provides something for everyone with 4 kilometres of easy runs, 7 kilometres of intermediate runs and 1 kilometre of expert runs, challenging enough for even the most advanced skiers. The Galstenberg-Pruggern is an ideal resort for families as it has the reputation of having the most exciting children’s ski area in the region. If you're looking for something other than skiing then here is an exciting 5-kilometer-long toboggan run which is open both during the day and in the evening hours. If walking and taking in the scenery is more your style, then there are ‘Winter Wonderweg’ hiking trails throughout the alpine resort.
For dining and après ski, guests have a great selection of restaurants, bars, huts and terraces to choose from, the Berggasthof Bottinghaus is located at the mountain station and offers culinary delights for everyone! The Happy Alm is a rustic little hut that's name serves it well, it is open till late in the evening serving food and drinks as well as providing music for entertainment.
