Within the District of Scheibbs lies the ski resort Turmkogel – Puchenstuben, a wonderful smaller skiing area situated in Lower Austria. There are 3.5km of fresh slopes to explore here, along with 3 ski lifts that allow guests to navigate the area with comfort and ease. Elevations at the resort range from 870m to 1,150m.
In total, there are 2km of easy blue slopes and 1.5km of intermediate red slopes for skiers and snowboarders to contend with. Winter sports fans with limited experience, or those who are completely new, will get the most benefit from this resort, given the slopes on offer here. Families with young children will also appreciate the terrain, given that wider slopes allow them to take their time and not be rushed by quicker, more advanced skiers who just want to speed down the slopes.
