Dachstein West ski resort can be found in Tennengau, Austria. Boasting a huge 51km of slopes and an additional 4km of ski routes, this large resort is one to be reckoned with. Elevations range between 780m and 1620m. Dachstein West ski resort passes between the villages of Russbach, Gosau and Annaberg.
There is skiing and snowboarding available here, night skiing and classes for beginners as well as child care for the little ones, making it perfect for families. There are 23 operational lifts to elevate guests to three categories of slopes. Easy slopes for beginners have 15km of runs available, perfect for those lacking in confidence and still learning the techniques before moving onto the intermediate runs, which dominate 33km of the resort. For the experienced skier, there are 3km of difficult runs available. Aside from the marked runs, guests are also able to freestyle and let loose on the 4km of valley runs. Over 90% of the slopes are covered with artificial snow cannons to ensure snow levels remain high.
The longest run available is No. 1 Hornspitz-Russbach, which is 4.2 km in length and the most difficult run is the No. 4c Wilde Hilde at just 0.5 km in length. In addition, the large freestyle snowpark for beginners and advanced freestylers provide excitement and fun. One of the highpoints of the resort is the Panoronda, a 44 km long panorama ski run along the Dachstein.
